The mosque, built by Sultan Qasim in 1500 during the Akkoyunlu period, is mostfamous for its minarets. The four-legged minaret of the building is an example of the only minaret of this type of Anatolia. The four pillars of this minaret represent four Islamic sects. Since it is the only example in Anatolia, it is the center of attention of local and foreign tourists every year.
The square-shaped minaret, which has touristic importance, was built with four corners on a monolithic stone column. According to this belief, seven times the wish of the one who passes under the pillars is accepted.
The mosque, built in a square plan scheme, is covered with a single dome. It fascinates those who come with a harmony in which black and white stone is used to stand guard.
